Born in Uniontown, Ky., he came to Evansville in 1912. Survived by his wife Mary; daughter, Mrs. Henry F. Joyce (Dixie) and son Tom Gordon Alvey, all of Evansville, Ind., sister Miss Ruby Alvey of Chicago, IL and brothers Emanuel of Louisville, Ky. and Orville or Evansville, Ind. Services at St. Benedict Church. Arrangements by Schafer Funeral Home in Evansville. Burial at St Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Evansville, Ind.
