Edwin F Kelley was born at Jackson, Michigan, November 22, 1872 and came to a homestead one mile and a half east of Crookston at the age of one year. He served in Company L of the Fourteenth Minnesota regiment in the Spanish American war in 1898. In 1911 he became sheriff of Polk county and served in that capacity until 1917. At the present time he is engaged in farming in this vicinity.
