Death has called another of Rochester's old people. Mrs. Bethany STEVENS, aged 78 years and 6 months. She had been an invalid for several months and her passing away was indirectly the result of paralysis.
Deceased came to Fulton county with her husband, Jacob STEVENS, 35 years ago and Mr. Stevens died about 17 years ago. They reared a family of one adopted son and eleven children of their own viz: James, Hezekiah, Austin, Rev. J. O. [STEVENS], all dead, and Mrs. Lucinda [STEVENS] CUSHMAN, Mrs. Rilla [STEVENS] CUSHMAN, and Schuyler STEVENS, of Kokomo; Mrs. Mary [STEVENS] JONES, of Dayton, Ohio; and Mrs. Al[le]ba [STEVENS] ENYART, Mrs. Ida [STEVENS]CARTER, and Mrs. Nellie [STEVENS] BABCOCK, of this city.
She also leaves three half brothers, of whom Capt. David RADER, of this city, is one.

Although this was a most disagreeable afternoon the funeral of Mrs. Bethany STEVENS was very largely attended. Revs. MYGRANT and SHOWLEY preached short funeral discourses, a special choir sang, and then the remains of the noble old mother were laid away.

Mrs. Thos. MURDEN returned to her home in Denver this morning after attending the funeral of her aunt, Mrs. Bethany STEVENS, and spending a few days with relatives.
