Caroloyn Diania Marcrum, age 8 years, 7 months, and 3 days, died Monday at the Cardinal Glenne Children's Hospital in St. Louis after an illness of nine months. She was a member of the third grade at Charlesa School in St. Louis until leukemia forced her to remain at home or in the hospital.
She was born near Steele and moved to St. Louis at the age of two with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe S. Marcrum. She had visited her grandparents here quite often.
Funeral service was held in the German Funeral Home Chapel in Steele Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Rev. A.M. Dorman of St. Louis officiated and interment was in the Little Prairie Cemetery at Caruthersville.
Besides her parents, she is also survived by a sister, Debora Kay, also of St. Louis; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W.E. Fisher, Chicago, and Mr. and Mrs. J.S. Marcrum and great grandmothers Mrs. Minnie Marcrum of Steele and Mrs. Mage Flippo of Phil Campbell, Ala.
