Mr. William S. Cochran, of South Mahoning township, died suddenly at his home on Friday afternoon. About a year ago he suffered from a stroke of paralysis, but had almost fully recovered his former strength. He was in his usual health on Friday afternoon, and went to the barn to harness his horse, when he was prostrated with another stroke. When found he was unconscious, and remained in this condition until his death, which occurred only an hour afterwards.
He is survived by his wife [Susan Walker] and the following children: Mrs. D. R. Morrow, Bradford; Mrs. John Wilson, of near Rural Village; Mrs. D. A. Rankin and W. [William] A. Cochran, East End, Pittsburg; Mrs. I. F. Zimmerman, Plumville, and C. [Clark] J. Cochran, at home.
The deceased was a member of the Presbyterian church at Plumville. The funeral services were conducted on Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock, by Rev. G. P. Forestman, and interment was made in the United Presbyterian church cemetery.

William Cochran's wives were Rosanna Muller Hildinger (1829-1862)married Feb 5, 1852 and Susan Walker married Dec 9, 1863. They are said to be buried in unmarked graves near William.
