EDWARD M. LINDLEY, 80, of Memphis, retired maintenance supervisor for Memphis City Schools, died of heart failure Tuesday at Methodist Hospital. Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel with burial in Woodhaven Memorial Park in Millington. He was a former deacon at Decatur Christian Church and Frayser Christian Church, a member of New Hope Christian Church and a World War II Coast Guard veteran. Mr. Lindley was the husband of Opal Lindley for 50 years. The family requests that any memorials be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or New Hope Christian Church.
