Bailey, Mrs. Leona L., 75, devoted wife, mother and grandmother, passed away at her home April 8, 2003 surrounded by her loving family following a brief battle with cancer. Born in North Dakota, she was a longtime resident of both Jacksonville and Clay County. Survivors include her husband of 53 years, L. Bruce Bailey; 3 daughters, Michelle Golightly, Sharon Maas, Sheila Bole; 2 sons, Steven and Timothy Bailey; mother, Rose Ova; brother, Floyd Job; sister, Rita Striefel; 14 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at 1 PM prior to the service at 2 PM at the Murray Hill United Methodist Church. Pastor David Spaulding will officiate. Interment services will be held at 3:30 PM at Holly Hill Memorial Park, 3601 Old Jennings Road, Middleburg. Arrangements by Holly Hill Funeral Home.
