AN OLD RESIDENT GONE.
Eli B. Batterson, a Franklin county pioneer, died to-day at his home on Oakland avenue, Clinton township, at the advanced aged of eighty-three years. Mr. Batterson was the father of Mr. James S. Batterson of this city, and was one of the charter members of the First Baptist Church of Columbus. He had been a deacon in that church for many years, and resided at the place where he died for the past twenty years.
