Don C. Miner, age 73, passed away March 10, 2006. Don was the third son born to Park & Mae Miner in Fairview, Utah. He had 5 brothers & one sister. He grew up and attended schools in Fairview & Mt. Plesant. He served in the U. S. Army after which he worked as a mechanic for N&W trucking in Salt Lake City. He married Carol Lee Hill on March 10th 1956. Together they raised 6 children, Kim, Rochaun, Shauna, Brenda, Jerry and Kent. He had 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, who were the light of his life. They raised thier family in Salt Lake City,Utah.
He was able to fulfill his dream of building a beautiful cabin in the mountains east of Fairview. His loving wife Carol died very soon after the cabin was completed. The cabin is a favorite retreat for his family and friends. Everyone knew they were always welcome to visit. Don was very hard working, but had a cheerful attitude and was always ready to have fun.
He fought a couragous battle with cancer for several years. He passed away to reunite with Carol on their 50th wedding anniversay March 10th.
A viewing & funeral were held at Wasatch Lawn Chapel. He was laid to rest beside his wife Carol, at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park on March 15, 2006.
