WILLIAM F. WOLF, 66, AREA TRUMPET PLAYER

William F. Wolf, 66, of Orefield R.2, died Tuesday in his home.

He was employed in the cost accounting department of Bethlehem Steel Corp. for 35 years before retiring in 1983.

A musician, he played trumpet for various groups in Lehigh Valley for many years, including the Vagabonds Club, Easton, and the Sharps & Flats Music Club of the Lehigh Valley area. In addition, Wolf played taps for many veterans groups for the past decade.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Lewis M. and Laura (Epp) Wolf.

He was a Navy veteran of World War II, having served on the submarine Sea Devil.

Survivors: Daughters, Diane Hartman of Wescosville and Connie of Bethlehem; companion, Ruth Mazepa, with whom he resided, and three grandchildren.

Services: 1 p.m. Friday, Trexler Funeral Home, 1625 Highland St., Allentown. Call 7-9 p.m. Thursday.
