Minnie Ostrander about 60, a press operator at the Essex Wire in Ligonier, died Oct. 6, 1958 from cancer. She was born April 3, 1898 at Mongo and had resided at Ligonier the past 45 years. Her husband, Earl, died in 1955. She was a member of the Calvary Temple and Eagles Lodge Auxiliary. Surviving are 3 daughters, Katherine, Mrs. Frank Christlieb and Mrs. George Lindemuth of Ligonier; 2 sons, Richard and Robert of Ligonier; 13 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, Clyde Merriman of Wolcottville, Arthur Merriman of Columbia City, and Herman Merriman of Albion; and 4 sisters, Mrs. Chester Caldwell of Ligonier, Mrs. Webster Pierce and Mrs. Joe Weber of Albion, and Mrs. Lena Cooper of Oklahoma; and her father, Simon Merriman of Albion. Funeral Thursday in Ulrey-Sedgwick Funeral Home. Burial, Oak Park Cemetery.
