Native of Groton Had Long Been Resident of Cortland
Jason Ezra Brown,69, an employee of the Brewer-Titchener Corporation for 51 years, died this morning at 7:35 at his home, 84 Greenbush Street following an illness of several months.
Mr. Brown was a native of Groton, where he was orn February 1, 1869. He was the son of the late David H. and Martha Watrous Brown, one of a family of seven children of whom a brother survives.
While a resident of Groton during his boyhood days, Mr. Brown spent the greater portion of his life in Cortland and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of this city.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Minnie B. Hoyt Brown and three children, Mrs. Claude T. Jackson, Frank J. Brown and Miss Elsie Brown, all of Cortland; one brother, William Brown of this city; together with three grandchildren, Albert Ulshoeffer of Marathon, Mrs. Harold Neff and Donald Upshoeffer, both of Cortland.
Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2 at Beard memorial home with Rev. Lindsay S. B. Hadley, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, to officite. Friends may call at the Brown residence at their convenience any time after Saturday noon. Burial will be made in the Cortland Rural Cemetery.

The funeral of Jason Ezra Brown, 69, was held Monday afternoon at the Beard Memorial home and burial was in the Cortland cemetery. Mr. Brown died Thursday, June 16, at his residence, 84 Greenbush street. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Minnie Brown, and three children, Mrs. Claude T. Jackson, Miss Elsie Brown, and Frank J. Brown, all of Cortland, and a brother, William Brown. He was 50 years an employee of the Brewer-Titchener Corporation.
