John Reuben Kindred was the son of Edmund Henry and Harriet Lord Kindred. He married Luanna Mariah Bird on Jan 6, 1881 in Salt Lake City, Utah. They were the parents of John Reuben, Jr., Merrill, Ada, Amasa Edmond, Ross Bird, Bert Reeves, Harriet Emeline, Blaine Lowell, Geneva, Luella, Vonda, Adlia and Fred Lewis Kindred.

JOHN R. KINDRED DEAD

SPRINGVILLE, April 29- John R. Kindred, one of Springville's leading citizens and business men, died at the Provo general hospital this morning at 4 o'clock from the effects of an operation for appendicitis performed last Monday.

John R. Kindred was born in Salt Lake City fifty-eight years ago, but settled in Springville when a young man and had made his home here ever since.

He is survived by a widow and twelve children- six sons, and six daughter. He was a member of the L.D.S. church and the Maccabee order. The funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 o'clock p.m.
