MARION -Alice A.M. (Watters) Hartzer, age 89, of Marion, passed away Monday, Dec. 11, 2006, at her residence. Born Sept. 22, 1917, in Altoona, Pa., to the late Charles and Florence (Hudson) Watters, Sr. On Oct. 22, 1938, in Altoona, she married Robert J. Hartzer Sr. and he preceded her in death on Nov. 15, 1997. Alice attended Altoona High School and was a member of Grand Prairie Baptist Church and a wonderful homemaker. She leaves behind one son, Robert (Wanda) Hartzer Jr.; and one daughter, Patricia Stone, both of Marion. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Jody (Doug) Scheff of Caledonia, Rebecca (Joe) Bradac of Prospect, Dee Hartzer of Newark, Kathy (Kenny) McCann of Vanceburg, Va., and Ceria (Keith) Bloomfield of Vanceburg, Va.; five great-grandchildren, Kirsten McCann, Kolby McCann, Rickey Underwood, Katie Masters and Joey Bradac; sister-in-law Margie Watters of Altoona, Pa., and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Blair Jr., Milton, Bill and Gordon Watters. Alice will be greatly missed by her family and friends, especially her little buddy Joey. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today, Dec. 13, 2006, at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Dec. 14, 2006, at 11 a.m. at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors with Pastor Tim Mohon officiating. Interment will follow in Chapel Heights Memorial Gardens.
