Civil War Veteran, Co B, 9th Vermont Volunteers. He was enlisted as a Union private in Co. B, 9th Vermont Infantry on July 26, 1864 and discharged on June 13, 1865. He was a farmer.
Additional info from Rick57; As his service in 9th Vermont Infantry, he combatted in the Battles of Chaffin's Farm (VA), Fair Oaks (VA) and Richmond (VA).
