It states... REMEMBER FRIENDS AS YOU PASS BY, AS YOU ARE NOW SO ONCE WAS I, AS I AM NOW YOU SOON SHALL BE, PREPARE FOR DEATH AND FOLLOW ME.
Wife, Penny Reus, is buried at Johnson (Old Wade) Cemetery, Wade, Jackson, Mississippi, USA.
Both have the same "handwritten" inscription on their headstones.
