A daughter of John Ellis and Sarah Blackmer. John was a veteran of the Revolutionary War. Sister to Seraph (Ellis) Abbott, also interred in Abbott Cemetery.

Lucy married John Abbott, son of Daniel, Sr., about 1812. Her younger sister Seraph married a younger brother of John, Benjamin Abbott, in the early 1820s.

Both of these families and other related Abbotts interred or with memorials in the cemetery (Elam, Benjamin, John, Harrison, Henry) had homes and farmland directly upriver from the cemetery on the land that was originally the farmland of their father, Daniel Abbott, Sr. and wife Elanor (Blodgett) Abbott.

In addition to the children listed below, John and Lucy had a daughter, Maria, born 09 Apr 1820 in Stockbridge, Windsor, Vermont, died 24 Oct 1874. She married William Nutting in Woodstock, Windsor, Vermont on 27 Nov, 1857. Her final resting place is unknown at this writing. (2015
