GARRISON, ND - John E. Baber, 95, died on Aug. 29, 2009, in a Garrison nursing home. He was born Aug. 17, 1914.
On April 6, 1939, he married Thelma Shepard. She died April 4, 1999. Survivors include: son, Joe and wife, Kathy, Garrison, N. D.; grandsons, Kelly, Houston, Texas, John, Titusville, Fla.; granddaughter, Robbin, Chicago; and two great-granddaughters.
John was preceded in death by his wife and one son Jack.
Funeral services were held on Friday, September 4, 2009 at Maud Cemetery, near Cunningham, KS. Should friends desire, memorials are preferred to the Cunningham Christian Church or charity of choice. Thompson Funeral Home, Garrison, N. D., was in charge of arrangements.
