Robert H. Baker, 79, of Topeka, passed away Thursday, August 27, 2009 at Stormont-Vail Health Care.

He was born June 26, 1930 in Lecompton, KS the son of John and Irene (Jessop) Baker.

Robert was employed by Falley's Grocery before he retired in 1989. After his retirement he enjoyed watching the NASCAR Circuit and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He was a member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church.

He married Clara J. (Baum) Lambrecht on February 28, 1962 in Topeka. She survives.

Other survivors include; a son Francis J. (Susan) Lambrecht of Topeka, two daughters, Theresa (Marvin, Sr.) Renyer and Margaret M. (Norman) Renyer both of Topeka and two sisters, Betty Smith of St. Charles, MO and Linda Kellog of Amarillo, TX. Sixteen grandchildren and fifty-one great grandchildren also survive.

Robert will lie in state after 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where a parish rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church.

Interment will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
