On Friday, August 21, 2009 our darling daughter, Kayla Danielle Baker went to walk with her Lord and Savior.
Kayla was a native and life-long resident of Pensacola and was to begin her senior year at Escambia High School. She attended Northview Baptist Church. Kayla loved the water and was an avid beach goer. She had a lot of interests including sports and crafts and was always busy enjoying life.
Survivors include her mother, Tina Ross (Patrick Bish); father, Timothy Baker (Penni Whitaker); maternal grandparents, Joseph and Shirley Jarman; paternal grandparents, Freddy and Shirley Baker; maternal great grandmother, Elsie "Maw Maw" Jarman; paternal great grandmother, Ernestine "Nanny" Anderson; uncles, Freddy Baker, Jr. (Cindie), Bruce Baker (Angie), and Mark Jarman (Cindy); her special love, Matt Cannon; many cousins and other relatives; and a host of very special friends.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 26, 2009 from 6 PM to 8 PM at Pensacola Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be at 3 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
She will be laid to rest in Pensacola Memorial Gardens.
The family wishes to offer a special thank you to the staff of Baptist Hospital for their support in this difficult time.
