Physical Description of Wm "Billy" McMinn
This description comes from The McMinn Family In America, compiled by Virginia Thompson Brittain and published in 1967. Page 353 (First let me note that on the 1850 Census Williams middle initial appears to be "M". since I haven't found another lace to make this note for now I thought I would include this information with his physical description.)
"William McMinn was approximately 6'2" tall and weighed almost 200 lbs. He had dark red hair, and was of reddish Irish complexion. IN his old age he still wore a short mustache and beard. He had a round face, blue eyes and freckles.

"After his son, "Holly", moved to Texas in 1881/1882, William was left without a home, so his step-son, Brad Kelley, went to Winston County and got him and brought him to Choctaw co to live with him. He died of diarrhea. so when he died, he was buried in the McMinn Family Cemetery in Choctaw Co. instead of being carried back to Winston Co. where both of his wives are buried."
