"FATHER OF JIM TAYLOR INVALID FOR SIX YEARS

Charles Taylor, 76, retired barber at Lebanon, and father of Jim Taylor, S-P Gas Manager at Hermitage, died Tuesday night in the Wallace Hospital at Lebanon. Mr. Taylor was a native of Lacelede County. He had been an invalid the past six years.

Surviving are his wife, Bertha; three other sons, Harold of Lebanon, Ind., Charles of Lebanon, Mo. and Bob of Logansport, Ind.; three daughters, Juanita Herrell of Logansport, Jean Barlow of Wichita, Kan. and Connie Blackwell of Competition; a brother, Hugh Taylor, Gilmer, Texas; a half brother, Ervin Miser, living in Iowa; 16 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the First Freewill Baptist Church of Lebanon with burial in Huff Cemetery at Eldridge under direction of Palmer Funeral Home."

LEBANON - Funeral services for Charles Houston Taylor, 76, Lebanon, who died Tuesday, were to be at 2 p.m. today in the First Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. Finis Johnson and the Rev. Dale Jones officiating. Burial was in Hufft Cemetery under direction of Palmer Funeral Home.

Mr. Taylor, a retired barber, had been in ill health for several years.
