MERIDIAN--Daniel L. Barker Jr., 45, Route 2, Meridian, died late Wednesday night at his home.

He was born May 20, 1924, at Pouce Coupe, British Columbia, Canada. He came to Montour in 1936 and has resided in Meridian since 1941. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a federal meat inspector and farmed at the time inspector and farmed at the time of his death. He married Agnes Musick Dec. 31, 1947, at Meridian.

He attended the Meridian United Methodist Church, was a member of the American Angus Association and the Boise Valley Angus Club.

He is survived by his wife, Agnes, of Meridian; a son, Steve, at home; two daughters, Barbara, at home, and Mrs. Beverly Darrow, Meridian and his mother, Mrs. Doris Barker, Meridian.

Services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Robison Chapel of the Chimes by the Rev. Ralph Fothergill of the Meridian United Methodist Church. Interment will be Meridian.

Pallbearers will be Loran Olson, Dawson Gaertner. Elroy Hareen, Royal Travis, Lawrence Smith and Ralph Madden.
