Funeral services for Jennings E. Olson were held on Friday, March 25, 1966, at 2 p.m. from the Grace Lutheran Church at Brandon. Rev. Chester J. Hoversten officiated.
Lawrence Erickson sang "How Great Thou Art" and "Behold a Host Arrayed in White," accompanied by Mrs. Aaron Anderson.
Casketbearers were Erwin Carlson, Gustaf Johnson, Harold G. Johnson, Reuben Myhr, Elmer Nelson and Oscar Newhouse.
Jennings E. Olson was born at Brandon, Minn, November 29, 1900. He was a lige long resident of the Brandon and Garfield area except for a few years spent at Wild Rose N. Dakota during his boyhood. Mr Olson was a life long member of the Grace Lutheran church and took a very active part in church and civic affairs.
On May 18, 1925, at Veblen, S Dakota, he was united in marriage to Lillie Engnes.
Jennings Olson died Monday, March 21, at his home at the age of 65 years, 3 months and 12 days.
Surviving are his wife Lillie; 3 sons, James of Willmar, Lester and David of Chicago, Ill; a daughter (Delores) Mrs Ray Strand of Davis, S Dakota; four brothers; Elroy of Marysville, Wash., Clarence of Montclair, Calif., Glen of Evansiville and Harvey of Brandon; one sister Miss Lila Olson of Two Harbors, MINN., and 15 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Jennie and two sisters.
