Funeral services for Sarah C. Lewis are scheduled for today in the Strode Funeral home. She died at her home May 19, 1939. Interment will be in Idana cemetery, nine miles from Clay Center, Kans.
She was born at Dowagiac, Michigan, Jan. 13, 1848. She was married to Daniel P. Nichols Feb. 1, 1871. He died in 1897. In 1906 she was married to George Ross in Stillwater. He died in 1913. Then she was married to Ebenezer Lewis in Arkansas City, Kans., and they lived in Stillwater until his death in 1931.
She is survived by three sons and three daughters, all children of the first husband. They are William D. Nichols, Pauls Valley; James P. Nichols, Clyde, Kans.; Mrs. Eva M. Cook, Los Angeles, Calif.; John A. Nichols, Lancaster, Mo.; Mrs. Mary E. Fryburber, Morgansville, Kans.; Mrs. Charles Gudgel, 1024 Husband street, Stillwater. Stepchildren surviving are Dave Lewis, Mehan; Eddie Lewis, Oklahoma City, and Mrs. Mary Hays, Oklahoma City.
