Youngest and only American-born son of Jacob Newman and Mary nee Fish. He worked as a drugs salesman, then a soda water dispenser in Brooklyn, and is a sad early lesson in the dangers of obesity. He died suddenly of acute cardiac collapse, aggravated by obesity and hypertension, at the age of 24 in 1931.
