COURIER JOURNAL OBITUARY – 11/07/1968
Sister Catherine Cecilia Silliman, of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth, died at 2:35 p.m. Tuesday at St. Vincent Infirmary, Little Rock, Ark. She was 65. She served at St. Thomas Orphanage here, and at St. Thomas-St. Vincent's Home from 1944 to 1960, when she was assigned to Little Rock as a sacristan. Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Lillie Heffren, Miss Anna Silliman and Mrs. George Bender. Services will be at the Nazareth motherhouse, Nazareth, Ky., at 10 a.m. Friday. Burial will be in the cemetery there. The body will be there after 7 p.m. Thursday.
