NEW ALBANY TRIBUNE OBITUARY – 04/16/1931
Funeral services were held Saturday morning at the St. Michael's Catholic Church for George Kiesler. Mr. Kiesler was 84 years old, and had been a Prussian soldier prior to his emigration to this country.

CORYDON DEMOCRAT OBITUARY – 04/15/1931
George Kiesler, a well-known farmer of Morgan Township, passed away Thursday at his home at Bradford, having reached the advanced age of eighty-three years. The deceased leaves surviving him his companion, one son, Charles of Bradford, one brother Hilary, all of Palmyra, and two sisters in Germany. Funeral services were held Saturday morning at St. Michael's Church in Bradford with burial in the church cemetery. Mr. Kiesler was born and reared in Germany and came to America about fifty years ago, locating in the vicinity where he died. He was a Prussian soldier and marched into Paris, France, as a member of the victorious German army in the 70's. Although well along in years he walked erectly as he did during military service. He was a blacksmith and wagon maker by trade.

George Kiesler, 84 years old, died at his home in Bradford, Thursday, due to the infirmities of age. Mr. Kiesler had been a Prussian soldier, and immigrated to this country from Germany when a young man. Besides his aged widow, he is survived by three sons, Joseph J. of near Greenville, Edward and Frank of Bradford and one daughter, Mrs. Philip Fessel of New Salisbury. A son, Charles Kiesler preceded him in death several years ago. Funeral services were held at St. Michael's Church in Bradford Saturday by Rev. John Gorman, and interment was in the church cemetery.
