ACKERMAN - Virginia M. (Potts), 84, of Louisville, passed away on Sunday, September 2, 2007, at the Hospice Unit at Baptist Hospital Northeast in LaGrange, KY. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Walnut Street Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, William E. "Willie" Ackerman, her son, William "Bill" Ackerman, one sister, four brothers, parents, and a stepsister. She is survived by a daughter, Susan King (Clifford); daughter-in-law, Dianna Ackerman; sister, Louise Gray (Bob); five grandchildren, Kevin and Tara King, Lori Derry (Jason), William "Billy" Ackerman (Erin), Terry Ackerman (Sarah); and two great -granddaughters, Hannah Joy and Sophie Grace Ackerman. Funeral services will be noon Thursday at the Chapel of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Wednesday, and after 9 a.m. until time of services Thursday at the funeral home. Expressions to Hospice and Palliative Care, American Cancer Society, or the T.V. Ministry at Walnut Street Baptist Church.
