MANNING – Mr. Joseph W.; age 73 years, 8:30 a.m., Wednesday, October 5, 1955, at St. Joseph Infirmary; residence, 660 Phillips Lane. Beloved father of Mrs. Mary E. Hardin, Etta M. Padgett, and Messrs. Robert A., James K., Marvin V., and George E. Manning. Devoted brother of Mrs. Fred Spencer, Dexter, Ind.; Mrs. Frank Harp, Dexter, Ind.; Mrs. Lloyd Baysinger, Richmond, Ind., and Miss Edna Manning, Richmond, Ind.; Mr. Forrest V. Manning, Dexter, Ind. Also survived by 19 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Remains at the residence, 660 Phillips Lane. Funeral, from residence, Saturday, 8:30 a.m. and from St. Leo the Great Church, at 9 a.m. Interment at Calvary Cemetery.

Joseph W. Manning, 72, retired bricksetter for Louisville Fire Brick Works, died at 8:30 a.m. yesterday in St. Joseph Infirmary. Manning, of 660 Phillips Lane, worked for the company 45 years. Survivors are four sons, Robert A., James K., Marvin, and George E. Manning; two daughters, Mrs. Mary E. Hardin and Mrs. Etta N. Padgett; a brother, Forrest Manning, Dexter, Ind.; four sisters, Mrs. Fred Spencer and Mrs. Frank Harp, both of Dexter, and Mrs. Lloyd Baysinger and Miss Edna Manning, both of Richmond, Ind. The funeral will be at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at the residence, and at 9 a.m. at Church of St. Leo the Great. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
