Harold Eugene McElroy, 75, Bethlehem Road, retired printer for the Paris Daily Enterprise, U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War, husband of Helen Carol Bills McElroy, died Saturday, July 18, 2009 at the VA Medical Center. He was born August 9, 1933 in Wadsworth, OH, son of the late Herbert and Gladys Helm McElroy and was a member of Trinity First Church of God. Harold is also survived by a son, Geoffrey C. (Angie) Bills, Sr.; a daughter, Alisa (Jeffery) Tyree; nine grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Doyle; a brother, Gerald McElroy; and a granddaughter, Patricia Tyree. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 22, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. William E. Singleton with burial in Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Geoffrey C. Bills, Jr., Brandon Bills, Quinton Tyree, Brian Bills, Amber Bills, Austin Bills, and Amanda Carol Tyree. Honorary bearers will be Jennifer Bills, Hollie Bills, Jeremy Smith, Josh Smith, John Merringer, and Jimmy Jones. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday.
