Perry C. Reger Dead at 80

Retired Stockman Had Been in Poor Health Several Years

Perry Reger, a retired farmer and stockman, who for seven years had made his home with his stepson, R. H. Holton, of 1001 Clinton Street, died at 6:10 o'clock last night at the Holton home. Death was caused by a complication of diseases due to old age. He was 80 years old and had been in poor health several years.
Mr. Reger was born November 6, 1836, in Barber County, West Virginia. He was married to Miss Susan F. Booth, September 30, 1860, Carthage, IL. Ten children were born to them, seven of them surviving. The wife died in March 1883. The surviving children are; B. F. Reger of Hutchinson, Kans; Mrs. Jessie Carter, of Leominister, Mass; Miss Maggie B. Reger of Colorado; Mrs. Vic Smith of Autwine, Okla; Mrs. Nannie Staples, of Alfalfa, Okla; Ed Reger, of Hydro, Okla; N. D. Reger, of California.
Mr. Reger was married to Mrs. Hattie Holton, September 12, 1882. R.H. Holton of Carthage, and Mrs. Lillie Grandon, of Burton, Kans. are surviving stepchildren. The second wife also survives. Two sisters survive. They are Mrs. Barbara Hall, of Burton, Kans., and Mrs Amelia Carter, of Leominister, Mass.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon from the Holton home. Rev. Dr. W.G. Clinton will be in charge of the ceremonies. Burial will be in Park Cemetery.
