Kaysie Dianne Werninck died in 2009 at the age of 28 while under the care of the controversial Scientology program Narconon in Oklahoma known as Narconon Arrowhead. Per her obituary, cause of death was double pneumonia.
Obituary notes: "Kaysie is survived by Keith and Connie Werninck, her parents; Keith Scott and Tammy Werninck, her brother and sister-in-law, Tracey Lynn Werninck, her sister, Steven Roger and Mariann Werninck, her brother and sister-in-law, Sara Werninck (Keith Scott), Alexander, Zachary, Adam and Kayla-Ann Werninck (Steven Roger), nieces and nephews, and Mickey Gill, her aunt, Dean and Lenda Thompson (uncle and aunt), Jaycie, Lissette, Lenda Marie and Michael Thompson, nieces and nephews; Dick and Barbara Werninck, Barry Werninck, Kirby and Gloria Werninck, uncles and aunts. Kaysie was preceded in death by her brother, Randy Werninck and her grandmother, Betty Acosta Collins, and her grandparents, Lionel and Ella Werninck."
There was a viewing March 8, 2009 at the Craig Funeral home. Funeral was held March 9, 2009 at the St. Augustine Church of Christ in St. Augustine, Florida. Arrangements were handled by Craig Funeral Home Crematory Memorial Park.
According to FOX25 KOKH-TV, "Kaysie Werninck, Gabriel Graves, Hillary Holten and Stacy Murphy all died after checking into Narconon Arrowhead."
As a result of the death of Kaysie Werninck and the others who were patients at the facility, Narconon Arrowhead several investigations were launched by the Pittsburg County officials, the District 18 District Attorney's office, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation and the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health.
