My grandmother,Frances Elizabeth Turner Burns,gave birth to 8 sons, Wm.Calvin, unmarried, died of cancer at 18; Oscar Harrison Burns (buried in TN);John Henry Burns,b. 02/22/1900 d. Sept.09,1979 (my dad) buried in Grand Bay, AL cemetery Mobile County AL; Thomas Jefferson Burns;Robert Wade Burns; Christopher Columbus Burns, unmarried; Gideon David Burns, buried in Gainesville, FL; Reuben Alex Burns, b. 1909, died in Italy in WWII,unmarried,and one daughter (the eldest child) Catherine Missouri Burns Peoples, (b. Dec.8,1889 in Addison, AL b,. Fairview Cemetery (tombstone says Katie Peoples d.July 1928 in Casino, Italy. Dogtags were returned to family.
