Joseph, 65, passed away at his home due to leukemia.

He was a son of Ralph and Agnes (Schwieterman) Borgerding. On July 15, 1967, in Burkettsville, he married Janice Kaiser, who survives in St. Henry.

Also surviving are two sons, Christopher (LaRie), Minster, and Anthony (Maria), Cindinnati; a daughter, Kelly (Steve) Keck, Coldwater; a sister, Bernice (Dale) Klosterman, Montezuma; two brothers-in-law, Robert (JoAnn) Albers, North Star, and Robert (Betty) Meiring, New Bremen; two sisters-in-law, Janet Borgerding, Dayton, and Irene (Carl) Woeste, Coldwater; and eight greandchildren, Nicole, Alison, Claire, Sophie and Jack Borgerding, Gavin, Caleb and Libby Keck.

Deceased are two brothers, John and Raphel; and two sisters, Barbara Albers and Vivian Meiring.

He was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church, past commander of Coldwater V.F.W. Post 5135, member of Coldwater American Legion Post 470 and he served in the US Navy from 1962-1965. He was employed at the former New Idea Plant, Coldwater, and retired from G.K.N. sintered metals in Van Wert.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at the church, with Fr. Benedict Magabe officiating.
