Claude A. Walker Jr. Editor of the Forest Park Review, and a County Commissioner, In Dupage County, passed away Saturday afternoon at Oak Park hospital. Walker was 38 years of age, and resided in Bensenville, Il. where he became very active In Dupage County politics. 7 years ago he was elected assistant Supervisor in Addison Township and served the full term of 4 years. He was re-elected to that office In 1966. On the County Board he served as Chairman of the elections committee, and for the past 2 years was chairman of the Legislative Committee. A Medlll School of Journalism graduate, Walker edited and published the Forest Park Review since 1950, and was active in journalistic organizations throughout the state. Previous to matriculating at Northwestern, Walker graduated from Marmion Military Academy at Aurora. His activities ranged far and wide. He was a past President of Forest Park Chamber of Commerce, Brentwood Terrace Homeowners Assn. and Addison Township Young Republicans. He presently held the office of Secretary of the Addison Township Republican Party, and was that Township's Republican Commltteeman.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy nee Orsinger, 3 children Claude III, Robin, and Lisa, his father and mother, Claude Sr., and Lillian, 2 brothers Richard and Michael. A requiem mass was offered at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, at Charles Borromeo Church, Bensenville. Interment was at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside.
