Harold Tollison, 79, passed away quietly in his sleep while vacationing on the Oregon coast.

He was the son of Williams and Naomi Tollison and a native of Laurens, SC. He attended Berea College in Kentucky where he studied Art and Languages. At the end of World War II, Hal joined the US Navy and was stationed in Southern California. He fell in love with the San Diego area and remained there after receiving discharge. He attended San Diego State University where he received a BA in Art and Languages, and later a Master's Degree. After graduation, he began teaching Art and Languages at Lakeside Junior High School and retired in 1986.

Surviving are three sisters, Billy Jean Goss of Laurens, SC, Patricia Juehl of Rogue River, OR, and Linda Hathway of Prescott, AZ; two brothers, Bobby Tollison of Portal, AZ. and James Tollison of Pollard Pine, CA; 12 nieces and nephews; and many friends.
