EZELL, J.C.
Born Sept. 11, 1928, in Coweta, Oklahoma. Passed away July 27, 2009, while visiting friends in Spokane, Washington. He is survived by his children, Pastor Michael Ezell and wife Charlotte, Karen Briggs and husband Mike, and Lori Garcia and husband Ron, one brother, five grandsons, and five great-grandchildren. Mr. Ezell was preceded in death by his wife, Loretta. Mr. Ezell proudly served his country for 22 years in the U.S. Navy, with service in the Korean and Vietnam wars. He received numerous awards and commendations including the Bronze Star. Following his career in the military he worked for the FAA and retired from Sears. He was very active as an Elder in the Desert Highlands Baptist Church. He enjoyed RV traveling and making clocks. Visitation will be held from 8:30 to 10 a.m., with funeral services to begin at 10 a.m., both on Saturday, Aug. 1, 2009, at Chapel of the Valley Mortuary Palmdale.
