Born May 20, 1920 in Georgetown, she was the daughter of Lee Neely and Dealie Lambert Neely.
Ada was a member of Rutledge Baptist Church and a long standing member and Honorary Member of the Charleston Exchange Auxiliary.
She loved her Lord, family and friends and spent much of her time calling and visiting church members and friends who were ill.
Ada enjoyed traveling, especially to Gatlinburg, TN. She was a wonderful Mother and Grandmother.
She was the widow of Francis Manuel Bethancourt, who passed away December 26, 2008, and is survived by her daughter, Amarylis B. Cranwell and husband Jack P. Cranwell of Charleston; two granddaughters: Kimberly A. Cranwell and Dawn M. Cranwell; one sister: Lena N. Thomas of Charlotte, NC; one brother: Roy Neely of Georgetown; numerous nieces and nephews.
