W. J. T. Carter Called By Death This Morning
W. J. T. Carter, aged seventy-four years, died at his home here this morning. Mr. Carter was a native of Nevada county, but had lived in Fordyce for twenty-two years. His death was not unexpected as he had been an invalid for the past five and a half years, following a stroke of paralysis.
Surviving are his wife, two sons, Clarence of Fordyce, and Jewell of Arkadelphia;
one daughter, Mrs. Hettie Duncan of Hampton; four grandchildren; two sisters and one brother. Mr. and Mrs. Carter observed their golden wedding anniversary the fifth of last February.
Mr. Carter was a member of the Baptist church and the Masonic lodge from early manhood.
Funeral services will be held at the Fordyce Baptist church at eleven o'clock Friday morning, with Rev. W. I. Ellidge officiating.
