Funeral Mass will be held Monday, June 20th, 2005 for 88-year-old Woodrow J. Gagnepain of Perryville, who died Thursday, June 16, 2005 at his home.

He was born December 2nd, 1916 in Perry County, the son of Emmet and Mary (Cissell) Gagnepain. They preceded him in death.

He married Velda (Miget) Gagnepain January 4th, 1943. She survives in Perryville.

Survivors include: two daughters and sons in law, Mary Jo and Mick Gibbar of O'Fallon, and Anne and Elmo Donze of Perryville; a son and daughter in law, Francis J. and Cathy Gagnepain of Festus; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Reverend Francis Gagnepain and Wallace "Si" Gagnepain, and two sisters, Stella Gagnepain and Erline Agnew.

He was a 1935 graduate of St. Vincent de Paul high school, and was an employee of International Shoe Company until his retirement.

He was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, the Holy Name Society, and was on the Knights of Columbus Council 1263 (3rd degree). He was also a member of the American Legion Boosters.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Sunday, June 19th, and 6:30-9:30 a.m. Monday, June 20th, at the Young and Sons Chapel. A Parish and Knights of Columbus wake will be held Sunday at 7 p.m. at the Chapel.

Funeral Mass for 88-year-old Woodrow J. Gagnepain of Perryville will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, June 20th, 2005 at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. The Revs. Francis Agnew, Kevin Fausz, Bill Thess and John Gagnepain will officiate.

Burial in the Mount Hope Cemetery.
