Lelia Demarius Wood was first married to the Rev. Andrew Wallace Ruff 26 July 1882 in Botetourt County. Their only child, Knox Ruff, was born 25 May 1884 in Lexington, Virginia and Knox died at 2 years old on 26 June 1886 in Lexington, Virginia. Andrew Ruff died on a train while traveling from acute appendicitis on 21 Dec 1884. Lelia then married Dr. Samuel Hutchings Price of Bedford County on 24 May 1899 in Glen Wilton, Botetourt County. She was his second wife. His first wife was Frances Ross whom he married about 1880. They had 4 children, 2 that died as infants. She died about 1888.
