Harvey D. Faust, 70, of Chambersburg, died at 5:00 PM Friday, July 24, 2009 in Chambersburg Hospital. Born August 24, 1938 in Clay Hill, PA, he was a son of the late John Leslie and Esther Pauline Davis Faust. Harvey attended school in the Clay Hill area and as an adolescent worked on numerous area farms. He was employed early in his life by Antrim Township and retired in 2001 from Franklin Feed and Supply Company in Chambersburg where he had worked for 30 years. His beloved wife, M. Faye Hamman Faust, whom he married February 27, 1961, preceded him in death on October 25, 1999. Harvey attended the Chambersburg Bible Church. He was an avid NASCAR fan and loved spending time in the outdoors and gardening. He enjoyed visiting with family and friends and liked helping his neighbors. For the past several years, he enjoyed selling automobiles. He is survived by three daughters, Stephony "Steph" F. Cook and husband David of Fayetteville, Jackie M. Kirby and husband Jeff, and Amanda "Mandy" L. Olson and husband Eric, all of Chambersburg; four grandchildren, Jessica Mickey, Christina Cook, Joshua Kirby, and Andrea Olson; two brothers, William "Bill" Faust and wife Betty of Greencastle and Richard "Dick" Faust and wife Susan of
Chambersburg; as well as three sisters, Arlene Lehman of Chambersburg, Mary Ann Davis and husband Charles of Waynesboro, and Frances "Shirley" Wagaman of California; and a special friend, Pam Strock of Chambersburg. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, John Leon and Joseph Omer Faust; and three sisters, Helen Mae Faust, Linda Jean Faust, and Orfa Lucille Faust. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 29, 2009 in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. Rev. David Ford will officiate. Interment will follow in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 384 Floral Avenue, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
