BLANCHE MYRTLE FEIGHT
Blanche Myrtle Bennett, oldest child of Joseph B. and Sarah Bennett, was born in Bringhurst, Indiana, on Nov. 14, 1879 and passed away at the Baker Nursing home on August 14, 1959, at the age of 79 years and 9 months. She came to Iowa with her parents and sister when a small child.
She was married on Feb. 3, 1898 to Adam Edward Feight, who preceded her in death on Nov. 26, 1946.
To this union were born 8 children, all of whom survive and all were able to attend the services. Mrs. Howard (Edna) Baughman of Indianola, Glen Feight of Belleville, Mich., Mrs. Leland (Vera) Harding of Midland, Mich., Earl Feight of Derby, Mrs. Loudette (Mearl) Harding of Phoenix, Ariz., Darl Feight of Garden Grove, California, Mrs. Fordyce (Darlene) Riggs of Phoenix, Ariz, Harold of Indianola.
She is also survived by 26 grandchildren and 51 great grandchildren. Two sisters, Mrs. Jim (Lillie) Johnson of Russell and Mrs. Fred (Gladys) Moore of Long Beach, Calif., and two brothers, Moss Bennett of Adel and Clell Bennett of Russell. Nine nieces and four nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, her husband, two sisters, Maudie and Fern Bennett and one brother, Merl Bennett and one grandson, Donald Baughman and one great granddaughter, Priscilla Sue Sams.
The services were conducted by the Rev. Archie Beals and the Rev. Pearl Sams from the Beardsley Funeral home at two o'clock Monday, Aug. 17, with burial in the Russell cemetery.
