She was the daughter of Dr. Fred W. and Lois (Keith) Judson. She married Dr. Arthur W. Saxe in 1844 in Sheldon, VT and they came to California in 1850 because of the Gold Rush. They had 2 boys, Frederick and Francis, both doctors in California.
