Ralph H. Brubaker, 77, died Tuesday evening at Gratiot Community Hospital, Alma, following an illness of four and one-half years. Born on April 17, 1885, in Paulding County, Ohio, he had lived in Gladwin County for 60 years. He was married to the former Josephine Madill on August 16, 1911, in Gladwin, and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Josephine; two daughters, Mrs. Jean Behnke of Gladwin and Mrs. Barbara Kinne of Harrison; several brothers, Curt and Lawrence, of Beaverton, Ray of Saginaw, Dave of Bradenton, Fla., Denny and Victor, of Gladwin, and John of Clare; three sisters, Mrs. Grace Schrader of Niles, Mrs. Nora Gruss of Mt. Pleasant, and Mrs. Leah Dicken of Beaverton; and nine grandchildren. One brother, Rollie, and three sisters, Glenna, Kate and Emma, preceded him in death.
Rosary will be said Thursday night at the Hall Funeral Home and funeral services will be held Friday at 12 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. George Artman will officiate and burial will be in Gladwin Mausoleum. A more complete obituary will be publishe next week.
