Champ Clark, 78, of Caruthersville, died Jan. 10, 1990 at Pemiscot Memorial Hospital. Born Dec. 28, 1911 in Hayti, he was the son of Birce and Pearl Sorrell Clark. He attended Hayti Schools. He served as water and sewer superintendent for the City of Caruthersville for many years until his retirement. He was a member of First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Rena Hankins Clark of Caruthersville; One daughter, Mrs. Donna Faye Crain of Braggadocio; Three granddaughters, Adrian Crain of Naples, Fla., and Karen Crain and Mrs. Libby Taylor, both of Caruthersville; And two great-grandchildren, Shay Taylor of Caruthersville and Justin Shay of Naples.
Services were Jan. 12 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church, the Rev. Ron King and the Rev. Bill Littrell officiating, with burial in Maple Cemetery, H.S. Smith Funeral Home of Caruthersville in charge.
Pallbearers were John Sellars, Hardy Privett, Woodrow Watkins, Carlton Bradley, Larry LaForge and Bob Bivins.
