Greer, SC - Jan. 1, 1946 died at 6:40 last night at the home of his daughter. Mrs. Ed Farmer of Greer, SC, following an illness of one week. Native of Georgia and had been a resident of the Greer, SC section for a number of years. Survivors included: one daughter, two sons, Edgar and Henry Fitts; one sister Malissa Maddoxp; one half-brother, Joe Smity and seven grandchildren. He was 73 years of age at his demise and interment was in the Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
