(1866 - before 1870, died a young child), Martha Helena King (Oct 1867 - Mar 1920, Utica, OH), Margaret V. (1869-1869, died an infant) and Edward Danford King (Dec 1871 – May 1915, Granville, OH).
Michael D. King was an attorney, and was mayor of Barnesville, OH from May 1871 to Jan. 1874. He is buried in Barnesville Southern Cemetery.
Michael D. King enlisted in the Civil War Union Army, B Co., 3rd Infantry Regiment, Ohio on 13 Jun 1861 at age 22 with the rank of Sergeant. He was promoted to full 2nd Lieut on 18 February 1863. He was honorably discharged on 27 March 1865. He was a prisoner of war for 26 months much of it in Andersonville, GA, where he contracted consumption [TB] which eventually killed him in 1874.
In Feb 1877, the [Ohio?] pension office granted a pension to Mrs. Mary P. KING, widow of M. D. KING of Barnesville.
