James Victor was born at Fossil, Oregon on June 16, 1895 to Henry and Clara (Wilson) Williams. He went into the service on June 11, 1917 as a Horseshoer, serving in the Army just catching the end of WWI. After the service he marries Margaret "Maggie" Alice Simmons on August 2, 1919 in Wheeler, Oregon setting up house in Spray. Maggie is the daughter of Andrew and Victoria (Hawkins) Simmons. By 1930 they have moved to Prineville Oregon and now have three children; James, Clara, and Margaret. They would add three more Patsy, Henry, and Anthony. Killed in action, James Jr. somewhere in the south Pacific, they lost one son in 1944. James passes away in Portland, Oregon on June 7, 1970, just nine days short of being his 75th birthday.
